hi guys just ne to the forum, thought i might be able to get some help from people who have been through it before since no one at cic seems very helpful, my wife is canadian and i am scottish we just got a letter saying that we have been pre approved for permenant residence i just have to send them my criminal check which was done last week, any idea how long it will take to process from here? thanks

pre approved? which office are you dealing with? can't help you with timelines when I'm not sure of where it is processing,

It depends on the local office, if Etobicoke or Mississauga, it could be a year, in some of the other offices a month or two. Take a look at Trackitt, it will give you an idea for In-Canada timelines. trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class/

The thing that takes the longest is the background check usually.
