I don't know what the requirements are on the job offer.

So for other than the job offer, you should have 67 points. Calculate your points.

If that doesn't work, then look for PNP.

Hey I think my post first was misleading or doesn’t have the right information or detail
so this is a re-post to get a better understanding.
My name is Kevin I am 24 I live in Guyana it near the Caribbean.
In Guyana our first and only language is English.

I want to immigrate to Canada as permanent resident under the “Skilled Worker and Professionals” title what I know about this title and requirement is all from the “Citizenship and Immigration Canada site”

1. According to the eligibility criteria, your application is eligible for processing if:
* You have an offer of arranged employment, OR
* You are a foreign national who has been living legally in Canada for one year as a temporary foreign worker or an international student, OR
* You are a skilled worker who has at least one year of experience in one or more of the occupations listed here.
I have arranged employment and I have over 4 year experience in 0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers
2. If your application is eligible for processing, you must also meet the following minimum requirements to qualify as a skilled worker:
* you have at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience or the equivalent in part- time continuous employment, AND
* Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list, AND
* You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.
I don’t really understand this part too well but what I understand is that:
( * you have at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience or the equivalent in part- time continuous employment, AND )

I worked for 2 large companies but they are own by one man I am currently employed here as an IT Administrator / Software Developer for both companies I started working here 2005 Dec and it now 2009 June it a full-time Job it like working for two companies as the same time
(* Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list)
as I stated at the above part i am currently the IT Administrator / Software Developer

(* You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.) I really don’t understand this part

3. If you meet these minimum requirements, your application will then be processed according to the six selection factors in the skilled worker points grid. The six selection factors are:
• your education
• your abilities in English and/or French, Canada’s two official languages
• your work experience
• your age
• whether you have arranged employment in Canada, and
• your adaptability.
You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada.

The years of education I have is about 11 to 12 years
My Education I went all the way thru school finish secondary school up to that.

My abilities in English, this is the only language since this is an English speaking country

my work experience is over 4 year in IT Administrator and Software Developer

my age is 24

I have arranged employment in the same field as my current job or I might have a lower position and have to work my way up

my adaptability I have a lot of family in Canada also a place to stay

ok now this is some other stuff
I am marry my wife has really good education she has about 12 years at school
she has a diploma in MBA and is currently studying and attending French classes
and has a lot of family

my education on the other hand I don’t have any certification on the stuff I do but I been doing with 4 year experience and did a lot of IT consult for large companies part-time so I can get recommendation by the dozen but I am also currently writing 2 exam COMPTIA NETWORK+ and LINUX+

I have the money to show for me and my wife

so that is I think I may have forgotten some parts but that what I can think about now

If you are 24, you probably have experience in 2173 or something like that, not 4 years in 0213.

You must have one year of experience full time in a job with a NOC code where the first digit is 0, or the second digit is 1,2 or 3 (i could be wrong on this last one). The first digit of 0 indicate skill level 0 and the the second digit indicate skill type.

Your one year of experience must have happened in the last 10 years (for which you qualify).

Did you finish high school? If yes, then you get 5 points (based on your messages earlier, i presume you do not have any other qualifications, if i am wrong, let me know).
Job - if you have more than four years in skill type 0, A or B, you get 21 points.
Language - you might get 16 points for English (i presume you don't know french).
Since you are 24, you get 10 points for age
Do you have an HRSDC approved job, if yes, you get 10 points, else you get 0.
You could get 10 points for adaptability depending on what type of relatives you have in Canada.

If you do get those 10 points and all the others that I mentioned, you could have 67 points, which makes you eligible to apply for immigration.

hello Rupeshhari

thank you for your reply

i have one a question
the fact that i am from an English speaking Country i was told by an immigration Lawyer that i made need to write the IELTS
if i do have to write the IELTS why is that because of the fact after all i am from an English speaking country

Kevin

People from English speaking countries such as Australia, UK are not expected to write IELTS but I am not sure about the west indies. I did read recently someone in the forum saying that people from Jamaica don't have to write IELTS. So maybe it is true for Guyana too.

Good luck for the T20 World cup tomorrow.

hey
when i complete my secondary School my CXC for English was Grade 4 or 5 which i can't remember at this time.

From what i heard from a friend is that immigration Office is looking for Grade 1,2 or 3 only
if not i have to take the IELTS but for i have to go to Trinidad that the closest test center and the test takes about 7 days well only the speaking section takes 7 days

so can i show proof of English in any other way like for eg. i am going to take my COMPTIA Test soon you need to know English well enough to understand the questions and to pass

If you want to go the route of using documents to prove your English proficiency, get somebody who is really good at English to proof read your cover letter. The last thing you want to do is write a letter about how good your English is and it's full of grammar and spelling mistakes :)

IELTS is recommended because immigration can't argue with it. The points you get are the points you get. If you provide documents, it's up to the visa officer.
