Hello,

This is a common question but the answers seem to differ. A Canadian PR must be residing in Canada whilst sponsoring a spouse for PR.

How long can I go and visit her for? If anyone has done this and could give me their experiences and how long they went for that would help.

Thank you

James

The time that you have gained for vacations in your work is a good measure to calculate
the time that you may spend outside visiting your wife.
Normally vacation times are between 2 and 3 weeks.

That is a fair suggestion, can anybody else who has done this tell me how long they went for? I am planning 3 weeks.

Thankyou

I went back home after they asked for my wife's remedical and she submitted it. Then I was in Bangladesh for 6 months and while I was still there they asked for us PP and then eventually I accompanied her on her landing. But I have to say I was really lucky that they did not ask me for prove that I was returning to Canada.
