Does anybody knows if there is a certain validity date and/or expiration date for a PR travel document? if there is, how many days/weeks/months they usually give for a PR travel document to be valid? Please help or if someone can give me a sample copy of PRTD would be much appreciated. TIA.

The landing visa that they put in your passport does have an expiration date, however it's not the same amount of time for everyone. The main thing is that your medical exam needs to be valid at the time that you land so if your VO typically takes less than a year to process applications then you might have a couple of months, or a couple of weeks. However, sometimes they extend the medical for longer time if it's close to expiring when they issue the visa.

For VOs that have really long processing times you might be asked to redo the medical exam before a decision is made.

I have seen, on this forum, people who have been given 6 months to land and also people who have been given less than a month. You should go to the thread for your specific VO and the people in there can tell you what is normally done through that VO, if there's any pattern at all.

PRTDs are valid for one month. Here is an example http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5023-eng.html#a1x5a.

The OP's not asking about the PR / landing visa. The OP is asking about a travel document.
