Dear Readers,

let me thank you for taking the time and reading this , and i really appreciate if you can chip in your ideas/thought on this;

I got my PR last year. i travelled to CA once, got my bank account created and obtained my driving license. but because couldn't secure a job, i left and stayed outside Canada.

I am planning to apply Common-law Sponsorship (outland federal) for my partner.

I know a PR status mut reside in Canada to sponsor common law partner and i am planning to travel back, rent an accommodation to show my ties and intention.
however i will not stay in Canada for long. I have a job opportunity in US.

would you let me know how i can strengthen my application ?
what should i do ?

any one share the same experience?

This plan won't work. You need to be actually living in Canada to qualify as a sponsor. You will need to wait until you have moved to Canada to live here before you submit the application.

Do not apply until you return to (factually) reside here. They will immediately twig and see that you are not in Canada. Exit / entry records are quite complete these days, and on top of it, you'll have no 'residency' records or other to support.

PRs must reside in Canada to sponsor. Short trips abroad are ok.

Chances simply are that your application will be long delayed and eventually refused. They do not care about your ties and intention. They care about whether you meet the requirement to sponsor, which is residing here.

To strengthen your application? Actually reside here.

If you're not planning to reside here: don't apply to sponsor.

You answered your own question

Renting a place, doesn’t mean you’ll be residing in it when you’re planning to live in another country

And as mentioned , they’ll check your entry exit information and they’ll see you ain’t living here

If you choose to stay in US, then why do you want to sponsor your common law partner.

Wait till you want to relocate to Canada to sponsor your partner. (If you still meet RO by then)
Trying to misrepresent yourself (pretending to be residing in Canada while you are not) is not a good start of your life in Canada.
