The conditional PR (Condition: 51) which required couples to remain together for 2 years, was repealed a few years ago. Getting divorced will not `revoke' the sponsorship. You are still a PR.

Having said that, if your spouse tells IRCC that the relationship was not genuine and that it was a marriage of convenience...they could investigate, but that would certainly not happen overnight.

Since you don't yet have your PR card, and I suspect that your spouse is not going to mail it to you when they get it...your would have to apply for a PRTD to return to Canada. You also have the option of coming back via the U.S. and crossing a land border in a personal vehicle (or walking across) with just your COPR. The PR card is a requirement of a commercial carrier, unless you hold a U.S. passport.

Good luck!

Hi,
I soft landed in Canada a few weeks ago and stayed there for a week. I had to return home due to family emergency. My sponsor (spouse) divroced me while I was back and contacted IRCC to revoke the sponsorship. I just found out about this and need your help. Is my PR still secured? I don't have my card yet so I can't travel now. I don't have any legal divorce document as a proof. I just got a message that I'll be receiving documents via post.

Based on a previous post, you and your spouse were already separated at the time you traveled to Canada and landed. Based on that, you should not assume your PR status is secure. Depending on what evidence your spouse submits, IRCC may open up an investigation against you. Not much you can do but wait and see what happens.

Just to add two more comments. Hopefully you stayed with your spouse the week you were in Canada. If so, keep evidence. If not, that's pretty problematic. Also, it's surprising your spouse has already filed for divorce. That would indicate that you've already been separated for a year.

Based on seeing more of the story, thanks to you, I suspect that the OP did NOT stay with their spouse when they soft landed recently. I also suspect that when asked if there have been any changes to their relationship with their spouse/sponsor, the answer was "No". If so, that's not good since that would now mean misrepresentation.
