PR requirement

hello everybody,
I have a work permit. I am working since 2011 as a cook. Now I want apply PR. Could somebody give me information about PR and how long time it takes to get PR and how many band I need for IELTS . My work permit is extended until 2015. My IELTS result will come next week. Hopefully I get the expected band

- You need to Score 6.0 in each of the 4 IELTS Categories to qualify.
- Are you already working in Canada ?
