I have to make a decision in the coming days and am so much in stress that I cannot feel confident on making a decision by myself and seek your guidance.
After a long stay outside Canada from 2011 to end of 2014, I returned in January 2015 and started working in a full time job. Am still working at the same place, never left Canada except for a 5 days trip before my PR card expired in Nov.2015. Since I had not met RO at the time when my PR card expired, I waited until September 2016 for PR renewal application.
My application went to secondary review and I am now asked by CIC to provide my border Entry Date Records from my home country.
I downloaded these dates from internet, and to my surprise I saw two entries which I had all forgotten of, due to many short business trips I had to do in the past and passport pages were not always stamped therefore I had not seen these dates when I was preparing my application.
Now, if I submit this Entry records document to CIC, it will be in conflict with my initial declaration and I will be short of about one month from the 730 days requirement at the time of application.
Therefore I do not know what to do now:
- Instead of submitting this document and making it obvious that I didn’t meet RO and face the risk of a fraud accusation, perhaps I should simply withdraw? or,
- The email from CIC requesting this document says that if I cannot send it within 30 days, my application will be cancelled. So should I just do nothing and wait for cancellation by itself? or,
- Should I go ahead and submit the document and explain the situation that I made an error in my RO calculations?
One more thing: I had also applied to sponsor my wife in September using the same dates of absence as the ones used in the PR Renewal. I was then found eligible (process took only one month) and her papers were sent to the Canadian embassy in her country waiting for the process to be completed there.
Would this sponsorship application be jeopardized as well? This is something that worries me more than my PR card since I do not plan to leave Canada any time soon.
