PR rejected in 2008 as dependent, yes/no in EE profile?

Hi guys,

I am creating my EE FSW profile now, and there is a column in that: Have you ever applied to CIC before?
I am confused, becuase in 2003, my family had applied for economic class PR keeping me as "DEPENDENT" child, and it was rejected in 2008 because of lack of document submission.
So, now in this column, should I fill in Yes or No, since now I am the main applicant and applying alone. If I say yes, I do not have any UCI, though I have a file number on all the communications that we received in the past.

Please help on this, guys!

Say yes to be safe, and explain in your LOE. Best to be safe than sorry. They won't hold honesty against you and in this situation you haven't done anything wrong.

Thanks.. Moreover, I feel if I say yes, and it should have been a No, then it won't be any problem, right?
So ultimately yes will be safe in both the cases.

Exactly. Say yes and explain in your LOE. If they have any more questions they will send you a schedule A. Honesty is best with these people.

Yea, leave it blank and explain that in the LOE too as to why you don't have it. Try and write the name of the primary applicant in your LOE too. Just make sure you list as a dependant. You aren't going to be held responsible for anything another applicant wrote about you.
