PR processing times - Inland vs Outland

Hi,

In terms of the processing times, is it better to apply for Canadian PR (will be applying under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program) from inside Canada or outside (from India) ?

As a rule of thumb, applications inside Canada tend to be faster. Although that could be biased because people that apply inside Canada already live there, therefore it is easier to check certain information, like where they lived, work, accounts, etc. While outside applicants are completely new people from all over the world. That been said, outside applications can take the same amount of time as within Canada, as each IRCC agent manages their applications differently. A thing to consider though, is never lie in an immigration application, that is if you live inside or outside Canada, apply accordingly. As it is rather easy to check with immigration when did you enter or exit the country. If you plan to apply inside the country and leave the next day to only come back a day before to collect PR card, while doing biometrics/medical panel outside Canada, that could look rather suspicious to the agent, and penalties could be rejections of application + 5 years ban in future applications.
