Hello,

I received an ITA in February and sent in my PR application in the first couple days of April. At the time I submitted the site said applications take 45 days to review. Here we are in June, over 2 months later.

Has this been the experience of others who’ve submitted these applications?

I did list what I guess is a pretty high number of employers (8); are they perhaps contacting those folks? (Other than that I don’t know what else would be of especial note in my application.)

Any timelines quoted on the CIC site are just estimates not commitments and have many variations depending on workload and complexity of any application. So you just have to be patient I am afraid.

First of all you have miscalculated the time of processing for EE files for PR by CIC. You must have selected the option of PR card while checking. Choose immigration there and the FSW or CEC depending on your stream, then most likely CIC will give you the processing time of 6 months. Check again.
Secondly regarding your application as per your information it seems your AOR was in 1st week of April, the candidates who have submitted their files in April are just getting their medicals pass now in June. So you are part of the normal cases. It takes 3-5 months on average by CIC to process your PR application if your case is not complicated. So hang in there mate. Wish you all the best.
Also I suggest you to sign up for myimmitracker- https://myimmitracker.com this is a very useful link and will help you estimate the processing time of your file and other applicants with your timelines.
