Hi Guys,

My PR renewal application was transferred to the local office and in Sept 2013 I received te additional information/documentation request letter. I submitted all the required docments within the 30 day deadline of the letter in Oct 2013.
How long would the local office take to reach a decision now that the additional supporting documents have been provided?

From your experience - is it weeks or months?

Thanks,

Non routine processing with referral to Local Office appears to be taking 12-15 months maybe 3+ month more if you require an interview. Why the referral do you know? Hopefully you applied with more than 730 days of physical presence in the 5 years prior to the PR Card renewal application!

I had about 500 days in Canada and about 800 Days outside Canada accompanying Canadian spouse.
Is receiving the letter a good indication of progress within the 12-15 months (is it towards the beginning or the end of this period?)

Thanks

It appears to be 12-15 months of total processing time. What is your local office - some are towards the end of the timeline due to a higher 'residency review' case load e.g. Mississauga.

Ottawa - I was hoping that the letter indicates progress and that the additional supporting material is to answer any doubts they were having - meaning we are closer to a decision.

Thanks
