Hey there I'm new also! Thank you guys for having this forum.

I am from the US and I wondering now that my Canadian husband was approved to sponsor.

I had 2 questions, in his sponsorship letter it said this:

The Right of Permanent Residence Fee is applicable to your application. If you have chosen to defer
payment of that fee, you will be contacted to make the payment at a later date. Your family member(s)
cannot become a permanent resident of Canada until this payment is made.

I did pay the extra fee for PR when I filed the sponsorship, and I was wondering if I'm good or they will contact us if I need to pay another fee?

so far the status says this.
Permanent Residence
1) We received ***'s application for permanent residence on April 20, 2015.
2) Medical results have been received.

and 2nd question what are the next steps ahead before I get my PR.

How much did you pay?

All you really have to do now is wait. If the visa officer processing the application wants more information, he or she will contact you. Same if they want an interview.

if you paid the $490 and the attached the recipet you should be ok. If you didn't attach the reciept then you will have to provide that as proof of payment.
Again all there is to do is wait. If they want something they will let you know like the person above said
