Hello everyone.

I was granted access to the Permanent Residence confirmation portal and entered all of the required information, however, I made a mistake with the photo format. The picture that was uploaded was in JPG instead of JPEG, I tried to submit the picture with the right format but it didn't let me. What should I do now? Will I receive an email asking me to submit another picture or is it possible that my PR will be accepted either way.

Thanks in advance for the help.

It's fine. JPG and JPEG are the same thing. JPG only exists because in earlier versions of Windows (MS-DOS 8.3 and FAT-16 file systems) they required a three letter extension for the file names so JPEG was shortened to JPG. Both file extensions are valid and are identical and can be opened and read on any Windows computer. No need to do anything & no need to worry.
