Hi everyone...I am in a bit of dilemma and i hope you can help me out to decide.

I cant decide between applying for PR in canada and going with study visa. I have 430 CRS (already gave IELTS) but kept my WES assessment on hold. The other option is ,My partner can go for PHD,which also allows spouse to work. But in that case im not sure if I will get the visa for sure.

I know it sounds funny but i really cant decide!
Can anyone help in this regard?

Hey, sounds very much like my case. Even I am stuck at 417 and at one point of time I was thinking of study visa. Plan was my wife can go on study visa and I can apply Open work permit. But getting this open work permit is not straight forward. You may or may not get it. If you dont get it then you will be stuck while your spouse has to be in Canada.

On the other hand CRS below 450 has very less chances of an ITA. You will need to take up a Province Nomination for Ontario when it opens and some smaller provinces.

Your most likely to have a chance of being approved for SOWP application, if your spouse is a full-time student and she has a valid Study Permit. Your will not require a job offer to apply, and your permit will be valid for the same period as your spouse study permit.

Yes agree but this will not be a sure shot case. SOWP might get rejected also. Depends on case to case basis.
