Hello

I have a valid PR, landing done... and have spent close to a month in Canada looking for a job
Unfortunately, had to return to my base country and since then have had chronic health issues (autoimmune) which have taken a few years to stabilize.

Since I am single and with no support in Canada, and need frequent Dr visits and tweaks..it was best to stay in my base country to heal

As per current status, I will need maybe anther 6 months to heal, which means I might not be able to complete the min days obligation for PR renewal

Is there anything that can be done in this situation- based on exception conditions?

I searched the CIC website...but did not find any substantial info on how to deal apply for exception extension

Can someone advise please?

Thank you

Others can comment as well but maybe unlikely to qualify for H& C no way to predict ,but when did you first land in Canada ?

There is no mechanism for an extension of the Residency Obligations. Your compliance will be assessed when you next interact with CBSA or IRCC.
