Hello everyone

I have question about my situation. I'm PR since 2014 but i didn't meet my obligatiom(less than 730 inside canada). At port of entery they they send a report to a superior officer about that and i met minister's deligate at the end of the story and he dicided to not revoke my status as a PR due to hardship i will face if i returned to my home country and he mentioned IF i go back all of the situation and question can RAISE UP again! So my question is since i'm NOT a refugee ( immigrated as skilled worker) but my deligate review was in my favor based on H&C grounds. What happens if i accept the hardship and go back to my country after becoming a canadian citizen?

Once you're a citizen you're fine, you no longer have a residency obligation.

However, you should now not leave Canada until you meet your residency obligations.

Thank you for your answer but minister's deligate told me if you go back even for a once all of this come back! I think his not joking about it but legally what can happen if i do return after becoming citizen? Can they take it back and revoke my citizenship?

No, not unless you got your citizenship through fraud.

Once you're a citizen you have freedom of travel.

If you are a PR and do not meet your residency obligation and travel, you can lose your PR.

You're lucky right now.
