Hello,

I am completing the application for PR renewal card via the online portal and at question 5.5, however I received the following warning message - " Please review the date you entered in response to “1.4 Date you became a PR in Canada” on page 1 of this form. This date must be accurate before proceeding with the rest of the form."
Question 1.4 asks -Date you became PR? I became PR June 5th, 2018, which is accurate, which is the date i entered in question 1.4.
I then see a note under 5.5 stating that the period to be assessed is the date from which I became a PR or five (5) years from today's date if you became a PR more than five years ago to today's date.
Question, am i to change the date in 1.4. from June 5, 2018 (which is the date i became PR) to 5 years from today's date as i have been a PR a little over 5 years?
Since June 5th, 2018 until today (July 1, 2023) i have 740 days. I did not meet the 730 days before the 5 years. Is this going to be an issue? And should i change 1.4 - Date i became PR, to the 5 years from today's date, which would actually be July 1, 2018? I would not meet the 730 days if i change the date 5 years from today's date. I hope i explained my questions clearly
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Only residency days within the previous 5 years from the time you apply are considered to determine if you meet the residency requirement. So from July 1st 2018 to July 1st, 2023 you need to have 730 days of residency in Canada. If you don't, then you should hold off applying and wait until you do.
