I am here in US on H1b, applied for PR in 2008, got the PR in 2010, and I went to Canada with landing papers and applied for PR card. Gave my friends address for correspondence. Came back to US after 3 days, the border immigration police gave me a hard time. Got letter after a month from Canada saying that my picture is not according to specification. I have to come and visit the local office personally in Canada. I didn't go back, and kept my H1b status waiting on green card. My question is under these circumstances, can I still get my PR status re-instated or do I get any benefit of having an approved PR in the past. What,s the best scenario for me, if I want to go to Canada, with these documents. Please help me with this or guide me as to where should I approach.
