My husband just had his interview this morning and he felt the lady was not very convinced but I assured him everything was ok. In the end they took his passport and said in a weeks time they will mail him his passport. Is this good news or should I be concerned? Our application has been processing for over a year now and a few months and literally this is all we are waiting for now to hear the results from the interview.

So this was a landing interview as opposed to a relationship interview?

Everyone here says the landing interviews are just a formality as the decision has all ready been made before that to grant PR, sounds like he's worrying too much.

OP applied outland - so it was a relationship interview - not a landing interview.

It could really go either way, only way to know is to get the passport back and see if theres a visa in it

Yep - I agree. I don't think it's possible for us to say if this is going to be an approval or refusal - or how long it will take for that decision to be made. We see plenty of cases here where people are told they will hear back in a week or two but have to wait months. Hopefully this isn't one of those cases.

From what I have seen on the forum, if they keep your passport at the end of the interview, there is good chance you have been approved. So don't worry!

By the way, do you know the reason for your interview? What kind of questions were asked?

Just a question here.
Landing interview is the one which CBSA officer do while you land (with the COPR), right ?

Again - it wasn't a landing interview. This is an outland application. It was a relationship interview.

Thanks for the advice. I was telling him the same thing not to worry there is no reason I could think why they would say no

They asked basic questions like when is my birthday, how long have we been together, what was the date of our marriage, how many times have I gone to see him.
