Hi All,

I am posting the same query on all known immigration forums.

My work permit(IT) is expiring next month and as per revised immigration norms my extension possibilities are thin. I have applied for my PR under FSW with AEO from current employer and PR is still in process. As the extension probabilities are low I think I have to go back to my country and I have to resign from current employer who offered AEO. Does my resignation impact my PR process which has AEO.

Please Advice.

Thanks,
PALS

I might be in a similar position next year if my PR does not process fast enough. Have you tried asking your employer for a Leave of Absence of some sort? That way you would still be employed by them right?

just to note, if you applied under Category 2 (FSW 2): For persons who have arranged employment offer with a Canadian employer, and you submitted an application while in canada working for that company, you will need to have a valid working visa to be issued residency, they check to see if you have a valid visa before requesting your passport.
