My friend is applying for permanent residence pathways for Hong Kong residents Stream B (no post-secondary education).

How can she continue to work in Canada while the processing?

She switched from a closed work permit into a open work permit for vulnerable due to abuse from the employer. This OWP for vulnerable is going to expired in 2 months. My understanding is she does not qualify for a "Bridging open work permit for permanent residence applicants". It's unclear if she can apply for https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ices/work-canada/permit/temporary/extend.html as "applied for permanent residence in Canada"

To the best of my knowledge she does not qualify for a BOWP. Unfortunately the VOP cannot be extended. Is her employer willing to get an approved LMIA?

Ideally she want to switch for another employer as this one does not provide enough working hours (part-time).

I feel she is exempt of LMIA with LMIA exemption code A25.2/R01 or R207/A70, is it correct?
