Hello,
I am going to apply for PR under phd category but at the same time my wife will apply for TRV from my country. She wants to visit me during christmass. I know visa office is different. Does anybody has idea about it if it is possible or not? I am the principal applicant but my wife is included in the PR application. At the same time she is applying TRV? What do you guys think? PR is usually take long time to process. Is there any chance that they will process trv and give their decision.

Please answer if anybody has same experience. Thanks in advance.

In such cases, I have noticed that mostly TRV applications are rejected Since you already gave applied for PR & your wife is included in your application..But it all depends on luck, you can still try..chances are less but you never know..
The basis on which TRV application can be denied ; applicant has already applied for PR and there is no motivation to return back..Since applicant has already filed PR application..TRV can be refused.

Thanks for your answer. But you know PR application take longer time than trv application to process. There will be time gap between trv and PR application. My wife already rejected twice and I mention it in PR form what are the reasons.

I will give a try. Thats not a big deal. But I am concerned about the effect of trv on my PR application. Is there any bad effect on my PR application?

No, there will be no effect on PR application, but would you highlight, why were application rejected previously ? What was the reason mentioned'; this can help to eloborate more..

application rejection reasons are silly.
1. not enough travel history
2. asset is under her father's name not by her name (which is odd because father is still alive). VO mention not enough asset.
3. she is a job holder and VO dont believe she has good prospect in home country. Another peculiar thing.

I mentioned it in the space given. But now a days trv is rejected very frequently. So, final word for VOs are she will not return from Canada.

This time I'll show more work experience evidence that she has good job with good salary. I guess this will help. Again nobody knows....
