Hello,

I received the file number in April, 2007. CHC,London requested documents in Feb, 2009. To my knowledge, you should receive the documents requested letter by this time. Please ensure your consultant is genuine and responsible. It is strongly advised please send an email to CHC,London without delay and they will inform you if any documents requested letter has been posted yet.

Regards.

Mohan.

Hi Mohan!

Thanks for the reply. I've been calling my consultant but they are ignoring my phone calls! I even emailed them alot of times and I even forwarded the reply that I got from re-london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca, but seems that they don't really care at all! I am here in Dubai and my consultant is ARIES INT'L (in Karama) . This is their Consultant CSIC No.: M095569
I am really confused and worried about our application. I don't know if I need to withdraw it from them and then re - apply it by myself thru online application. What do you think. Honestly I am lost and don't know what to do now.. Most of my acquiantances are already in Canada and we are left behind..

Hi Benmai,

Please check out this thread which is specifically dealing with your time line:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/for-applicants-of-2007-in-london-has-anyone-received-documents-update-letter-t19564.0.html;msg94227#msg94227

Also, IMHO, I don't think your consultant knows the answer to your question and "dilemma".
CIC London has not sent out document update letters to anybody (Pre feb2008 applicants)for a very long time now. There have been no movements since the last batch of AOR's (August07, Sept07, October07) were sent the request for docs update letters way back in July2010.
All November07( - upwards) applicants are yet to receive or hear about anything from them and that includes me. I am also very eager to get to the end of the whole process, be it positive or Negative, even though I have started thinking and acting otherwise.

Good Luck.

Hi Bobby B,

I read your post and it is helpful indeed.

Seems that you are 2007 applicant as well? My acquiantance told me that some of her friends applied also in 2007, and got the letter of finalization last 2009.
How about you? When did you sent your application? Any updates?

I sent mine last Oct 4, 2007 and received the file No. last Nov. 22, 2007 and 3 years had passed and haven't heard any update about it.

I've sent an email to London-cic, and got a reply from them. They said that if I want to expedite my application, I can go on PNP (Provincial Nominee Program)..

Below is the exact reply that I've got from CIC-London:

Dear Madam,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Applications submitted under the simplified skilled worker category, before 27 February 2008 and before the new regulations were introduced, must be assessed in strict chronological order based on when they were received. Under the immigration regulations in force at that time, a skilled worker application cannot be prioritised based on education, work experience or country of residence.

There are however other immigration categories that are subject to priority processing which can be applied for.

If you have been offered a job in Canada, or you have been issued a work permit, your application may be eligible for expedited processing. An arranged employment offer could earn you an additional 10 points for permanent residence as a skilled worker. If you have obtained an arranged employment offer (AEO) from a Canadian employer or you have been issued a work permit, you may send us a copy with a covering letterwhich will be reviewed by an immigration officer to determine if your file may be expedited based on your employment offer in Canada. If your file is not approved for priority processing, you will not be notified and your application will be returned to its original place in the processing queue. If your file is approved for priority processing you will receive further instructions and your application for permanent residence may be processed within 6-8 months.

You may also wish to consider the Provincial Nominee Program. In this program provinces are given more influence in the selection of applicants based on the labour market of that particular area. You must first apply for a certificate of nomination directly from one of the provinces. Once you have obtained a provincial nomination, your application may be processed in approximately 6 months. Should you wish to pursue this option, you must submit a new application for permanent residence with your provincial nomination certificate. If you already have an application in process this can be withdrawn and the processing fees refunded if your application is still in the processing queue. Please see the following link for further information on the Provincial Nominee

Hi,
I am also a Nov 2007 AOR applicant based in the UK. As mentioned above, Nov2007 applicants are yet to receive any request for document updates or better said we are nowhere yet. Our applications haven't been looked at nor touched. I am afraid there is hardly anything me or you can do to expedite the process. They are "supreme" in every way in this case and situation.
Again, the reply to your query is not as bad as compared to the standard replies people have been getting, in which they were asked not to contact them any longer unless the 42 to 48 months have passed by or they need to inform them of a change in address etc.. In other words what they are saying is, that if you cannot wait then try the other means of immigrating as stated in their letter. Whether or not the applications are actually assessed in chronologically order as received, remains questionable and unconfirmed. All I can say is, there are cases on different forums that have proven that statement otherwise.
