Hello everyone!

Hi, im just new here in canada. I entered here as a temporary foreign worker. I am classified as a semi skilled worker. I have plans in settling here and hopefully to be a permanent resident at first. Im just wondering what are my preparations needed for PR application? I heard that only Federal silled workers are allowed to apply for PR. Is there, by any chance i can do that? I heard about the provincial nominee program and i know that my employer doesnt do any nominees.... Can I apply PR by myself?...

Suggestions are very appreciated. Please help so that i can prepare...

thank you.

PR as a semi skilled worker is only in a few provinces and only for certain occupations under PNP. If your employer doesn't do PNP, you need a new employer, either a low skilled job that qualifies under PNP in that province and an employer who does do PNP or better yet, a skilled job in any province because that will make it a lot easier for you to apply for PR later.

thanks leaon... i am also thinking that way to. It's either look for another job that qualifies me or look for anohter employer. Other option is to move to other province.
