PR for PP (Spouse outside canada)

I am spouse of PR applicant (PP), outside canada. I received email from IRCC asking for documents such as Civil status, passport copy and few forms. I can see the reference letter starts with G, so thats a positive sign. Timeline is PR file submitted in april 2025. My question is that i though spouse application is only processed after main applicant is approved for PR. Not sure where our process is at?is it a good sign that principal applicant file is in last stage?

Are you part of the pilot program? There will be a huge backlog of dependents because they are not part of the 1 time initiative. If applied in April 2025 wouldn’t say you are at the last stages of PR process. It still may be quite a while until you receive approval.
