Hi Al,,

My husband got electric shock last year in July and due to which he went into coma. Currently he is recovering but in minimal conscious state. I want to apply for family immigration to Canada. Can my husband get a PR for Canada. What are my options? I also have 2 kids.

Thanks,
Pallavi

Not being a medical professional have no idea what a minimal conscious state is but how will your husband pass the immigration medical at this point in time ? Maybe best to wait until fully recovered but as said I am not a medical professional and any immigration application is approved or not based on whether there is any significant ongoing medical cost.

Have you checked whether as a family you qualify for immigration regardless of your husbands medical situation. ?

What do you mean "family immigration"? Are you already a Canadian citizen/PR and want to sponsor your spouse with a family class app?

Or do you want to apply with an economic app and include all your family?

Yes, I want to apply for the PR including my family

In his current condition of needing constant medical care, there is no way he would pass the excessive demand medical test meaning any app you submitted would most likely be rejected.

You will need to wait until his condition improves and he gets a prognosis from his doctor that he can lead a normal life and will not need further constant/expensive medical care.
