Dear All,

Greetings!!

I am new to this forum and would like to know few things which may be silly or stupid however I want to know the details which will help other members as well.

I am planning to immigrate to Canada so my first question is whether I shall do all the processing myself OR shall I approach consultant. Consultants charging fees of 1,70,000. I have around 13 years of experience into IT Support/Infra and done my PG(MBA). Is IELTS mandatory?

I am based out of Hyderabad, India.

Could some one please give me a detailed procedure on how to go about for VISA.

Thanks
Arun

It's really up to you whether you use a consultant or not. Many apply without the help of a consultant. If you apply without the help of a consultant you will have to do quite a lot of reading and research on your own to find out what the requirements are to apply and prepared your documents. If you don't have time or don't want to do this research on your own - then you should hire a lawyer / consultant to assist you. If you plan to apply on your own, information about Canada's immigration programs is here;

Yes - IELTS is mandatory.
