PR Filed at Buffalo -> Interview at Detroit - Need help for interview

Hi All,

I need your help for the interview preparation for NOC 0213. I filed for PR at Buffalo and my file moved to Detroit.
Now i got a call for personal interview. i am from India and at present i am in USA on H1B visa.

I heard that now a days for NOC 0213, visa officer at Detroit is very strict. Can any one help me in understanding the visa procedure? e.g. steps or procedure as i enter the visa office. How long the visa interview generally last and what they ask for?

i will appreciate any help in this manner. I have an interview on Nov 1, 2010.

They usually ask about your experience and education and if you have sposue and taken some point from your spouse education then they ask question around it as well.

Pl carry all originals i.e. mark sheet,certificates,employment letters and most important the NOC 0213 job duties where ever you are performing.

There is one lady IO who ask many questions, you have to be clear on your explanation on your role of project manager. If your designation is not project manager then it will require some time more clear explanation on your role as PM. Though CIC website say designation does not matter its only the role, but post 06/26 things have changed

Order for CAIPS, you will come to know the VO view & why he has called you for interview.

you don't CAIPS in a week or few days...

If the interview is on 1 Nov 2010, then ordering CAIPS is useless..

Thanks for the inputs. I had already ordered the notes but still i haven't received it.

I had applied for 0213. I had provided the original reference letter from my past employer on company letter head and from my manager on his personal letter head explaining my roles and responsibility as well as my employment period with them.

When i got the email from consulate inviting for the interview they asked to bring an updated copy of all reference letter from past employer. I had provided the copy of exp. letter which i had received when i left the job. In addition to that i had also submitted the original reference letter when i submit the application to buffalo. This additional ref. letter is signed by the CEO of the company. Now i am not able to contact them back and get an updated copy before going got visa. Will this be OK or i must have the updated copy of letter? Please provide your input. As i am on H1B in USA, do they ask for all H1B application filed for me to USCIS by my US employer? They have mentioned this thing in their document list.

How the interview generally goes? Do i have to submit all ORIGINAL to reception? Will i get all ORIGINAL submitted at reception back after the interview or they keep it for verification?

Kindly share your ideas on this. my interview is on Nov 1, 2010 at Detroit.

You must take all the documents what ever they have mentioned in the interview call letter.
In case you are not able to contact any of your previous employer you should be able to provide the evidence that you tried but did not get any response... like some email which you may have sent to them..

They will not keep original with them, most probably they will decide on your application on interview day..

Bottom Line - You must carry whatever they have asked infact take additional documents to prove your case (noc 0213)
Since NOC 0213 is not in new list post 06/26, there are chances they will check for each information and may just look for a failure from your side to provide supporting documents.

Thanks for the input.

I will take all ORIGINAL education and professional experience related docs with me during interview. i had also taken a print of all my communication with my previous employer asking additional reference letter from them. That will help me to prove that i had tried my best to get an updated copy but didn't receive the response from other end.

Thanks again for all your inputs. If any one have attended the interview in the recent past for 0213 at Detroit, please share your experience.
