Hi all,
I will be greatful to have any information about my status that help me to fine a solution and comeback to Canada, story is as below:

me and my wife holding expired PR ( expired date is AUG 2010 )and my boy have valid PR card.
we fullfilled our 730 days out of 5 years and in march 2010 came back to Canada, to continue, we applied for PR renewal.
in between we invested our money in country of origin ( which came out from our 10 years working and working) for a home, on May 2010 we recieved a call that clearly we will not have anyy home and money and if we will not present in country ( burn in) offically we will lose everything, I tried to sort it out remotly but it was not successful and financially we were in critical status, for not losing our life investment we decide to came back and plan to return after sort out the issue.( which was not successful)
with landing to country of origin start to claim and offical documentation and actions, in meantime unfortunalty our son got seek and we found out that his kidney has sever problem ( reflax) and high anxitey as he went to hospital for several time for treatment and again and again these 2 in paralle lost our focus in our date and AUG 2010 passed and card expired.
unfortunatly I didn't do anything to report them at that time and right now my son because of one very small kidney is under medical treatment but thanks god I re-fund my money and can get the home.
now as I read so many Blogs and wesites my case is general and many poeple has the same, however the question remains what is the best to do as we are outside Canada? ( note: it is a little hard for proving 730 as some of my very important documents are washed by my son in washing mashine in canada, I have some tax letters, purchasing invoces,...)
- appeal?
-H&C ground?
-go to Canadian embassy in country of origin? ( which is a big NO and they are very hard)

many thanks for your kind consideration in advance.

If your PR card is expired, you must go to a Canadian embassy and apply for a PR travel document to go back. If you don't want to go to the embassy in your country, maybe you can travel to another country and go to the Canadian embassy there. Or if you can get a visa to visit the US, you can cross over to Canada on the land border in a rental car with your expired cards.
