PR Card Renewal Interviews

Hello All,

I am the process of renewing PR Card. I have heard that if you have a Middle East (UAE/Kuwait/Saudi) residence visa then you will surely get an interview and in Toronto it can take up to 9 months to get an interview. Is this true, could esteemed elders speak from their experience?

Did anybody get through without an interview process with a ME residence visa (or with one which was cancelled)?

I have not heard this but judging from the amount of people who seem to be living and working in those countries while their families stay in Canada, I would not be surprised. When some people try to cheat the system, the innocent will also have to pay for it with stricter rules etc.

Why are you very concerned about the 9 months or the interview if you really meet the two year residency requirement to renew the PR card. They do not care if you live or work outside, tell the truth and you will be OK. If you live outside, apply urgent and you will get it in two weeks....
