Hi All,

my sister her husband along with the kids landed in Canada in July,2010 as a immigrant, her husband returned back after a month and rejoined them in May,2011. Since July 2010 my sister went out of the country for 15 days in December2010 and returned back, however her husband did not exit of Canada since he re-entered in May2011. someone told them they need to complete only 730 days to apply for citizenship and matain their PR card status and not 1095 days is this right information.

Any advise will be very helpful.

tks......

This information is incorrect.

To maintain PR status - you must live in Canada 2 years (730 days) out of every five rolling years.

The rules for citizenship are different. To qualify for citizenship, you must live in Canada for three years (1095 days) out of a four year period.
