My middle name got truncated in the PR card and it is missing two letter

please help me how to fix this ?

1. You can't. There are only so many letters that can fit on the PR card. So they truncate the middle name. The GCMS has your complete name.

Surname: 20 characters maximum
Given name: 15 characters maximum
This space limitation corresponds to the data field limitation in the CIC database. The CIC database accepts a maximum of 20 characters for the family name and 15 characters for the given name. If a name is longer, the name on the PR card will automatically be shortened to the first 20 and 15 characters, respectively. The full name is to be recorded in the “Remarks” box of the Confirmation of Permanent Residence form [IMM 5292B].

Read the letter on back on which PR card was sticked , It clearly says the limitation of characters which CIC database has and if it got truncated you dont have to take any action . If your COPR is good you are good.

Rest you have your Photo and DOB on it my friend , chill .

I also have same issue and I don't feel its a problem at all , All the Bar Codes and QR codes behind your PR Card holds the necessary confidential information .
