Hi,

I landed in mississauga about 3 weeks back and have applied for my PR card. Does the PR card come from CIC office in toronto or from nova scotia? What is the general mailing time reqd ie for a single applicant? Do they tell if we call the call center before whether our photos are rejected or not or do we have to wait?

Because of work commitments I have to leave by the end of the month ( will be in Canada only for about 7 weeks..is this enough time to get PR card..I have given the address on airport @ 15 may)

PS : I have already got the SIN card

Based on what people have posted here - most cards seem to be received by mail in 6-8 weeks. My husband received his in 5 weeks (this was considered to be fast).

I don't know if you can call the call centre to find out if your photos were accepted. My guess is that you probably have to wait and the call centre won't have this information.

You were advised in the CIC application for a PR card to apply for fast-tracking (showing a return plane ticket as proof of being in a hurry). If you did not do that, you might be able to track the whereabouts of your application, and ask CIC to make it a rush.
