Hi tgere, long story short, my parents never checked the expiry on the PR cards and left Canada.....5 week later when they wanted to cjeck in online fir their return they saw it expired April 28th 2018. NOW my question is......if they still have their original multiple entry visa (like from before they got PR) in their passport......can they ise that to enter? Thx......kinda in

No. Once you become a Permanent Resident, you are not eligible to hold any Canadian visa. Any held at the time of landing are normally physically voided by CBSA but they are automatically void regardless.

If they wish to use commercial travel to return to Canada, they will need to apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document. The alternative is to use private travel across the land border with the USA.
