PR Card and Visa process after approval

Story So far
I applied for PR CEC in April 2013 while in Canada and returned to India in June 2013.
I was approved of PR in June 2014 asked to submit my passport to Delhi in Aug 2014 and recieved my passport back with a 6 month visa along with a letter to ask me to re enter Canada before March 27th 2015.

1. What is the process here on.. please tell me.
2. How long do I have to stay in Canada to get this PR card processed..



I am currently working in Mexico and only plan to stay in Canada from August 2015. So please help me plan this trip to Canada. I hope it is short and the process is easy.

Congrats on your Visa.

You have to enter Canada before the date mentioned on your Visa. Which means you will land and unfortunately you have to stay in Canada to receive your PR card before you can travel again. At least this is what has been advised to everybody.

PR card usually arrives between 6 to 8 weeks. Sometimes 10 weeks. So buckle up for that timeline.

My advice; sooner you land, sooner you will receive your card. So do your calculations and choose the best option.
