PR card after Landing

It has been 7 1/2 weeks since I landed and I have not received the PR card.

Should I be worried? ??? (ok I am worried that it got lost in mail!)

Tell me how long did it take for your PR card to arrive? I landed in Ontario via vehicle and I am from the States.

,, Looks it is getting late. Unless you contact CIC you cannot decide whether it is lost in post or delayed:

I called the number (even it was after 5pm on Valentine's day lol) and after waiting 10 mins a lady answered the phone! She asked me multiple questions to confirm I am the applicant and she checked on my card status!

She said there was a delay in creating my PR card application (ugh!) and I should receive the card by March 3rd! I asked her if the card was even sent and she said "no"...soooo I guess someone in the CIC office didn't do their job fast enough! Geez it has been more than 7 wks and it has not been worked on?

But anyway, I am happy that the card is not lost or stolen

oh one more thing I looked up the CIC website here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp and it says the new immigrant should expect a PR card in 29 business days!

It is the average processing time. We ( me and wife) got our card exactly on the 24th day of our landing in our mail box.
I have seen in this forum that some people did not get PR Card even after 6 weeks. All are not posting in this Forum and therefore we could imagine that many people used to wait. However, you are somewhat sure about your PR card.
