HI,
I had landed in Canada in the first week of June2011 and came back after one month. In December 2011, I got a red letter from Immigration that my photo has been rejected and I need to send a fresh photograph. I subsequently sent them new photographs as per specification. Now again they have rejected the photograph.
I know through their website that I may apply for PRTD from Canadian Embassy and later could apply for PR card after reaching there.
Now I have the following queries from all of you seniors and experienced members:
1. What does it mean " your PR file will be closed and you have to apply for a fresh PR, if you do not apply within 180 days of receipt of this letter". Does it mean that I will lose my PR status and I will never be able to come to Canada again!!
2. What would happen, if I do not approach them within the specified time period and apply afresh for PR card (after expiry of the deadline)!
3. Is that procedure is very difficult to get the PR card!! How much time the process will take place!!
4. Can I request local Canadian embassy to issue me a PRTD with a 6 months validity!!

Please answer all these queries one by one.

Really appreciates all the good work you all are doing.

previously it was 25mm - 35mm

Now since 7 months they have changed to 25mm -30mm.

Always wise to remove 28mm.

Dear

U have to follow deadline as per criteria in the letter otherwise will loose your PR status.

U r entitled to stay in Canada even with out issuance of PR card, if no formality is pending at your end. Canada embassy will issue PRTD for you to let u enter into Canada with out having PR card. It is now upto you for how long u intend to Wait in Canada.

As per info, if u wish to exit early, u need to make special request to authority to let u have PR card at earliest.

Getting PR is not difficult. It normally takes around 45 to 50 days if all is well. Problems, like yours, may pro-long the issuance time. In such cases, it may take around 3 months.
