hi,

my cic profile is currently showing the below status:

Document Status Help
Name Unique Client Identifier (UCI) Document Document # Status Expiry Date Travel document Number Country of Issue
xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx Counterfoil ********* Your document is valid. 2018/02/02 xxxxxxxx India

I'm an FSW OUTLAND applied through express entry.

what exactly is the expiry date shown above?
isn't PR supposed to be for 5 years??

or is it the expiry for first landing?

kindly assist.

Congratulations
That date is the expiry date of your permanent resident visa which is one year from the day your medical was done
You MUST land in canada on or before that day to become a permanent resident

Hi. Thank you for your response.

So on landing will there be another counterfoil which would show 5years?

Or would it be just forwarded to the PR card?

On landing, your PR Visa expires. It's just single entry.

You apply for a PR card which you receive after about two months. That PR card is valid for 5 years and can be used for the purpose of travel.
