Hi All,
I received my Passport with PR Visa stamped on it on 29th March from CHC- New Delhi.
I would like to share my timelines with you all so that it can be of only help.

Applied for visa: 11th Aug 2009
File received in CHC New Delhi : 23rd Sep 2009
Asked for additional supporting documents: 2nd Nov 2009
Passport Request received: 2nd March 2009
Passport received with VISA stamping: 29th March 2009

On VISA its written that they granted it on 22nd March 2009. However, the online ECAS status changed to decision made on 30th march. That means, its not necessary that they will update the online status before sending you the PP back.

Thank you all for your help and support and wish good luck to all.

Congratulations.. What kind of application you had?
Also how long does it take to get PPR from ND after sponsorship approval.
Thanks in advance

Congrants Amisse

A very good luck to you and ur spouse in Canada.

Hi Calgary_flames,
The application was for permanent residence and my husband was my sponsor.
My husband's sponsorship was approved in sep 09 and our file was transferred to CHC ND on 23rd sep.
In nov end, we received a letter from CHC requesting about additional wedding and outing photos.
We received passport request in first week of march, I sent PP to them on 15th and got PP back with VISA stamped in end of march. So, in my case time duration after sending PP and getting it back was only 15 days.
1 thing I would like to advice everyone is that be careful while sending your marraige photos, I mean if you had a traditional hindu wedding ceremony dont forget to send your photos showing mangal feras, sindoor and mangalsutra rasam.

Great news amisese. Whereabouts in Canada will you be living?

And, do you know why did CHC New Delhi requested additional photos?

Thanks amisese for your reply...

It looks like it took about approx 5.50 in your case. I am just curious to know more about your case now..
Do you had engagement, wedding, reception and honeymoon picture?
Is your sponsor Canadian citizen?

I think it should not take this much time for straightforward case...??? but never know..hmm :)

Hi Calgary flames,
Yes we sent our marriage, reception and honeymoon pictures while submitting the file.
As ours was a traditional hindu wedding, CHC wanted to see some specific pics of our marriage, the rituals which are peformed in a typical hindu wedding..for eg: mangal feras, mangalsutra, etc.
Earlier we sent our marraige pics but did not have an idea about which pics to send. therefore, CHC again requested us to send these specific pictures.

My husband is a PR of Canada.
