PR applying for visitor visa for dependant

Hi,

I have a dependent child (8 years old) in foreign country and I want to make a visitor visa for him for summer and holiday visits. I am a Permanent Resident of Canada, so I think getting a visa should not be a problem.

However, I am not sure about the process and where to start. I want to apply electronically from within Canada on the IRCC portal, but should I create account for my dependent and use this account or I can use my own account to create an application for him. That's what I don't understand, pls help if you have a similar experience. Thanks

If you are PR, why aren’t you sponsoring the child if you are PR? The child would have been included in your PR application. Visitor visa is an issue since you are PR. VOs will not believe that child is coming just for holidays.

PR sponsorship is taking so long.
We are in the same situation, so we applied sponsorship and visitor visa for our child.
