PR Application under process - Passport going to expire within a year

Dear all,

PR App. received on 20th Nov by CIC.

now realized that my passport going to expire on Feb'15.

Can I renew my passport now?? I can get a passport in a month if I can apply here in India.
Will CIC consider if I send new Passport?

Do I need to get new PCC again ( @ India now).

Please advise,

You won't need another PCC, if you already sent one earlier.

You can apply and get new passport. Once you receive the new passport, send a photocopy to Ottawa with your information.

when sending passport for PR stamping ,is there any rule like passport should have validity of 6 months kinda of ?

I have already applied for PR

Actually I am asking this question as during passport renewal ,I have to get few things corrected too in passport (my passport valid till Feb 2015)

1) my surname is null
2) mistake in spelling of father's surname

So what do u suggest ,that should i get these mistakes corrected or renew passport with these mistakes as it is .....what effect it can be on be my PR application ..
