Dear Experts,

My PR application is returned as they didn’t accept date of birth certificate issued by Indian consulate
They have mentioned that they can accept secondary school record.
Now i will be providing my secondary school record,However they mentioned that “If you are not able to provide birth certificate, we require an affidavit stating all this info and that a birth certificate can’t be attained”

My request from you guys if you can share any standard format for ‘affidavit’ that will be very helpful for me.

Thanks,
Amit

What happened could be this: your birth certificate format is different than the majority of the Indian applicants'. Not saying it's not valid, it's just because they haven't seen it before. Similar situation to my police certificate. They didn't recognize my certificates because I asked a local people to translate it for me. The person has her license but probably most of the applicants from my country didn't that. I then have to go back to the same police station to have them issue me a new certificate (the same as the old one). This time I asked my friends and make sure to use the similar format. It went through.
So I guess what you need to do is to ask your friends what they did and follow the same procedure and use the same format.

All applicants- CIC does not accept date of birth certificate issued by Indian consulate.. Do not do this type of mistake again
Many people are aware on this forum

My application was returned to me for the same birth ceritificate issue. I had provided 10th class passing certificate, and they did not accept becos it did not have parent name.

In your better you can go for some affidavit to suit their requirement. For sample, I think you can opt for newly issued birth certificates which contains the details like birth place etc.

Did you send back the application again? Is there any update on this?
