Hi, I am in the process of preparing my application package. While submitting the profile, i had submitted work experience for myself and my wife as well (complete work experience) for the sake of completeness.

1. Now, for my wife, there is work history and personal history that i need to submit as these are now appearing based on the initial profile submission. However, I am not claiming any points for my wife's work history and i do not have reference letters for the same. What should i do? Can i delete all work history and put them in personal history?What kind of explanation should i give? And, I don't think i can submit an empty form for work history? what should i do?

2. Also, for my work history, i do not have reference letters for the ones that i worked before 10 years from now. Can i move those to personal history? and what kind of explanation should i provide?

1. In the initial application, please only select the items for which you are claiming your points. If you are not claiming any points for your wife work experience, select none in the application. However, when you come towards the part about personal history, here you should mention about her job and other details done in the last 10 years. Its the same as my case. I did not claim any points for my wife job. I selected none in the initial section that says that points would be counted towards it but gave full disclosure in the personal activities section.

2. You have to provide support for the points that you are claiming in your application. The maximum experience points that they have in express entry is 3 years or more. So if you intend to support that with your latest three years in the last 10 years, that should be enough. All other details should be part of personal history.

I personally suggest that you add an LoE (Letter of Explanation) and narrate your details to clarify. It really helps. We did the same and had no question from the IMMI and got our PR. Hope it helps.
