Hello,

I’ve applied for my PR a few months ago in Ontario, through the sponsoring spouse class. My Canadian husband and I left Canada for a couple of months, we are sill travelling and I haven’t received the medical exam request yet. I am afraid it will be requested while we are still in South America and I would like to know if we are allowed to do it in a different country, even if the process was done inland.

Thanks

You cant leave canada for long periods of time ( more than 2-3 weeks) with an inland applicationin progress. If ircc finds out your application could be refused. If youre denied re-entry into canada your application gets cancelled.

You can do the medical anywhere as long as its done by a certified panel physician
