PR Application in December 2011

I got AINP nominaton in September 2011 and I have sent my documents to cic in Nova scotia on Dec. 23rd 2011.
My bank statements shows cic payment in February 1st week. 2012. What happens next.
What is average waiting time.
Also is there any certain categories like Physicians and Nurses who get priorities.

You should receive the med request in the next couple months.
Here is my timeline：
Application received ：Mar 2011
1st Med request and done : Sep 2011
2nd Med request and done : Oct 2011
My current ECas status is APPLICATION RECEIVED.

I think my case is a bit complicated due to the additional medical exam.

That is a long waiting time.

What is approximate time form application for PR and actually getting PR.

From Forum it looks like some people have received PR within 6 to 8 months!!
