Just sold my home in Central America and want to get out before we are victims of all the crime. I am Canadian and hopeing to get a TRV for my wife of many many years. Our grown kids are all Canadian.
I know it will be hard to get a TRV as they will think we are going to stay . . which is our plan.
I know getting a TRV the chances are slim. But . . .
If . . . . she does get her TRV, we plan to apply for her PR within a few days of arriving in Canada.

My big question . . . please help.

What about the police reports, medical and other documents requested. Will she have to leave Canada to get them and then not be let back in. Or can these be gotten in Canada.

Sure, I can apply from here, but it would mean having to stay in Central America for 1 or 2 years while being processed.
I will not move to Canada until my wife can come along with me. I will not abandon her, but we worry about being a victim of the high crime rate and ending up in a body bag instead of Canada.
Our sons have returned to Canada already as they are Canadians.
Please some advice. Thank you. :(

The medical can definitely be obtained in Canada (it doesn't matter where you do the medical).

You should be able to obtain the police certificates from outside of Canada as well. You can confirm here:
