Hi!

Just wanted to know if it is possible to file for PR (skilled class) alone on my own (I am in Canada) without my husband (he is in India) becuase he mite have some problem in police clearance as he is under trial, will it affect my aplication

You can file but it's highly unlikely that you will be granted a PR without convicing evidence as to why your husband is not included in your app.

tks...but if i apply wid him n he declares his being under trial (BTW it is not a heinous crime, just he was caught buying pirated movie CDs) will they wait for the decision coz its unsure how long it will take for that decision to come??

You can not apply on your own as long as you are married to him but I don't think buying pirated CD's is considered a heinous crime in Canada.

I don't think you need to declare him being under trial and if in the end he is not convicted nothing should show up on his PCC. I think you have a better chance of getting PR by filing with him and explaining his "crime" than doing it alone. My 2 cents anyways.
