PR application being a spouse of a Canadian PR holder

Hello, I have PR status and currently I am staying in my home country with my family to solve some family matters. I might need to stay here for about one year. I am planning to get married now. My girl friend also has the necessary qualifications to apply for PR. My question is since I am not going back to Canada within one year, can my girlfriend apply for PR.. By the time she applies we will be married. Will that be a problem for her/ Because as per my knowledge I have to sponsor her as a spouse to get the PR. Since I will be away from Canada what is the best possible suggestions you can give. Please share. Thanks

Yes, she can apply based on her own merits via EE.
