I'm sponsoring my dad and soon, I hope, I'll hear about the approval of Step 1, the sponsorship (since July 2007).

For the Step 2 Part, him applying as PR from Indonesia:

I'm trying to decide if I should put his address where he lives now in Bali, Indonesia (different than what I submitted in the sponsorship and in different Province) OR use the same address as the sponsorship forms already submitted (Jakarta, Indonesia).

The truth is he doesn't have a home so he's living with his friends and go back and forth between these 2 cities, so neither of these address is permanent.

I just don't want to change the address and CIC do not approve because he's traveling too much thinking it's suspicious or whatever, and I don't want to put the old address, in case CIC calls his house and check on him while doing the background.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks.

I guess the question is, how long will he be living at his new address? If it's only for a few months, I wouldn't bother changing it, as long as he can still get his mail from the first place. If he plans to live at the new address for 6+ months, then I would change it. I'm sure one address change wouldn't be "suspicious" at all to CIC. It happens all the time that people move and need to update their address. Just make sure that if you change it that he can still get his mail from the other place. You may want to keep the address that has the most reliable mail service (if there's any difference in the 2) or the friend that would be most reliable in telling him of any mail?? I don't think CIC would call to inquire on him, but he could always say that he was visiting with friends in another city. I don't think that would sound strange.
